After-School Tutoring: We are currently accepting applications for volunteers with weekday afternoon availability to participate in our After-School Tutoring program at 826 Valencia during the 2019 - 2020 school year. 826 Valencia receives 88.94 out of 100 for their Charity Navigator rating. Volunteers are trained by staff members for various areas of 826 programs: after-school tutoring, the Young Authors Book Project, field trips, in-school programs, and writing workshops. ‍--Fall & Spring Workshops ‍ 826CHI works in collaboration with after-school programs and community-based organizations to offer creative writing workshops to students in neighborhoods across Chicago.
