Combat in Bard’s Tale 4 is hex/turn-based.
The most crucial aspect is to position your party properly. Have more questions? All items and summons found, saved just before final battle. Our Bard's Tale Trilogy, The +20 trainer is now available for version 4.34 and supports STEAM. I was able find my characters in my save file and modify their stats, HP, MP, and EXP just like back in the old days. There is no way to actually save your exact position and progress in these games in the more modern sense. To load a caracter, select Character > Edit a Character.
