Welcome to the Mammoth Cave National Park Information Page. Mammoth Cave National Park World’s Longest Cave – Over 400 Miles! Mammoth Cave National Park preserves not only the longest known cave system on earth (400+ miles), but also 53,000 acres of beautiful forest.

Here you will find all you need to know about the natural history of the park. Central Kentucky’s Cavelands are home to world-class underground beauty in Mammoth Cave National Park, Diamond Caverns, Hidden River Cave, Lost River Cave, Mammoth Onyx Cave, Onyx Cave and Outlaw Cave.

The Visitor Center is closed only on December 25, although severe weather conditions may cause closures if travel conditions warrant. The park Visitor Center operates on hours that vary by season.
