Basic Blues Magoos is the third album by the American rock band the Blues Magoos.It was released on Mercury Records in May 1968 (see 1968 in music).The album saw the group transitioning from psychedelia back to their blues rock roots. As a fan of the Blues Magoos from back in the day, I bought Electric Comic Book, the band's second album, when it was first released. They are best known for the hit song "(We Ain't Got) Nothin' Yet

They were at the forefront of the psychedelic music trend, beginning in 1966. According to Castro Bob Wilde, a producer from the Blues Magoos management company, Long Hair Productions, was the one who introduced the group to Dew and hired her to design the electric suits.
